Double O's History:
Double O is owned/operated by Olivia Oney. Olivia is a Columbus, GA native. She moved to Hamilton, GA in 2021 and leased a horse facility. The rest is history. Check out the pre- FF resume here.
Double O Sporthorses is the realization of a long-held dream for Trainer/Owner, Olivia Oney. She envisioned a space where individuals of all ages could experience the joy of horses, just as she did in her childhood. Growing up in Columbus, GA, Olivia began her riding journey with local trainer Nancy Abney, who provided her with a solid foundation in riding and horsemanship at Hunter’s Run farm. After moving to Midland Foxhounds in Midland, GA, Olivia immersed herself in Pony Club and the vibrant world of eventing and fox hunting. She later became a working student for the Abneys, teaching lessons and caring for the horses while continuing her education under Nancy's mentorship until her retirement in 2015.
During high school, Olivia and her pony, Bring on the Rain (Noah), achieved top placements at USEF Pony Finals, GHJA Finals, and local shows. She also competed on the Middle Georgia Equestrian Team (IEA) with Jennifer Mastronardi, earning individual National Finals rider status and finishing as Reserve Champion in 2016. In 2017, Olivia made history as the first graduate of Columbus High School to receive an athletic scholarship for equestrian sports. She attended Mississippi College, riding on their IHSA Team at Providence Hill Farm before returning home to pursue a professional riding career. Throughout her journey, she collaborated with various professionals, including Patricia Morissette, Jennifer Mastronardi, Scott Keller, and many more. In 2021, she served as a trainer for Horse Club Miami, teaching riders of all ages and levels. After a near-fatal car accident that year, Olivia returned to Columbus to recover and, by a stroke of luck, founded Fortunata Farm in 2022.
Olivia is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of horse enthusiasts through innovative teaching methods and quality instruction. Fortunata Farm has established itself as the premier Hunter-Jumper training facility in the area, offering a unique curriculum, quality lesson horses, and a range of services including training board, a full horse show calendar, layup, and sales. Our expansive 100-acre facility in beautiful Hamilton, Georgia, features numerous amenities such as a 20-stall barn, trails, individual tack lockers, large turnout areas, multiple riding arenas with lights, and a hot/cold wash rack, catering to everyone from beginners to national competitors.

Fast forward to 2024, when Olivia started Double O Sporthorses. Through building and growing Fortunata Farm, she picked up quite a few sales and training horses. Built connections across the country, learned even more than I imagined, and trained, sold, and bought some great horses and ponies.
